U.S. Men’s National Team will enter LA28 as the reigning World Champions; U.S. Women’s National Team falls to Canada in final   

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY – Team USA Football® won two medals at the 2026 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany. The U.S. Men’s National Team defended their title in emphatic fashion, winning an unprecedented sixth consecutive World Championship. The U.S. Women’s National Team came up one score short in their gold medal game against Canada.

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY – Team USA Football® is through to the gold medal games of the 2026 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany. The U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams survived tough matchups in the quarterfinals and semifinals to earn the right to defend their status as the reigning World Champions.

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY – Team USA Football® wasted little time getting in rhythm, delivering a pair of victories on the first day of the 2026 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany. Running from August 13-16, the event serves as the final World Championships before flag football makes its Olympic debut as part of the LA28 program.

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – USA Football, the National Governing Body of American Football responsible for selecting Team USA Football® for international events, including the 2028 Summer Olympics, hosted its fifth annual Junior International Cup at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles from June 19-21. More than 380 athletes chosen from qualifying events nationwide to compete in Olympic-style flag football 

Entrepreneur, investor and sports owner backs women's flag football ahead of LA28 

Mark Cuban, entrepreneur, investor and NBA champion owner, has made a philanthropic investment in USA Football, the National Governing Body for American football in the United States, to advance women's flag football and support the U.S. Women's Flag Football National Team as the sport prepares for its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028. 

Approximately 1,000 athletes and team personnel compete in national and international events 

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – USA Football, the National Governing Body of American Football in the U.S., is returning to Los Angeles for Summer Series. The event will run from June 17-21 and feature top national and international athletes from around the world, transforming Los Angeles into the center of the flag football world while previewing the sport’s Olympic debut in the summer of 2028.  

NFL Champion joins growing movement behind women's flag football before Olympic debut 

Aaron Rodgers, Super Bowl champion and four-time NFL Most Valuable Player, has made a gift to USA Football to support the U.S. Women's National Flag Football Team as the sport builds toward its Olympic debut in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
