USA FOOTBALL TO HOST INTERNATIONAL BOWL XI IN JANUARY AT DALLAS COWBOYS’ AT&T STADIUM

INDIANAPOLIS – The 11th annual International Bowl Series featuring 14 high school-aged teams spanning five countries returns to Arlington, Texas for the sixth consecutive year in January, USA Football announced today.

New to this year’s International Bowl format is a men’s and women’s flag football tournament, featuring the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Flag National Teams’ preliminary rosters and a field of international teams from Canada, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Panama for three days of competition. The tournament will serve as preparation for National Teams competing in the 2020 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championships in Denmark next summer.

Seven high school-aged U.S. National Teams will compete against teams their age representing Canada, Japan, Mexico and Panama. A member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and the sport’s national governing body, USA Football manages the International Bowl and organizes U.S. National Teams for international competition.

Recognized as American Football’s largest annual global competition, International Bowl XI will feature two gamedays across four age divisions. Game days are Tuesday, Jan. 14 and Wednesday, Jan. 15. All International Bowl games will be played at AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and college football’s Goodyear Cotton Bowl.

Sunday, Jan. 12 marks the first of two days of flag tournament pool play before the two championship games on Tuesday, Jan. 14.

Both the men’s and women’s flag championship games as well as the U.S. Under-19 National Team game will be broadcast live on ESPNU. All other games will be streamed lived on ESPN3. Game tickets may be purchased at www.internationalbowl.com.
