USA FOOTBALL INTRODUCES FOCUS 3 LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CENTER FOR HIGH SCHOOL COACHES AND ADMINISTRATORS
INDIANAPOLIS – USA Football has partnered with industry leader FOCUS 3 to develop the USA Football Training Center to support high school football programs through elite systems for leadership, culture and behavior.
The new training center offers coaches resources to install leadership training and culture-building for a competitive advantage and to change lives. Focus 3 training is used by top coaches on high school, college and professional levels of the sport.
Focus 3 CEO BRIAN KIGHT consults executives spanning several countries across business, education, science and sport. Football clients include Boise State University, the Chicago Bears, Southern Methodist University, Ohio State University and the University of Washington.
“Brian brings an important dimension to the USA Football family,” said USA Football CEO and Executive Director SCOTT HALLENBECK. “He’s worked with the best in the sport to build championship-level leadership cultures and delivers that expertise to the high school football constituents via our coach academy.”
The USA Football Training Center offers 16 courses with more than 80-chapter lessons, including The R Factor, based on the equation E+R=O: Event + Response = Outcome. The equation is designed to empower coaches and players to deliver discipline-driven responses for optimal results.

In 2014, Ohio State University head football coach Urban Meyer selected Kight to help create a championship-level atmosphere for the Buckeyes. Kight developed a ‘culture playbook’ and leadership skill-development program for Ohio State coaches and student-athletes as the school captured its eighth National Championship.
