USA FOOTBALL HIRES BRANDON MCCLADDIE TO LEAD FUNDRAISING EFFORTS AS DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Veteran Fundraising Executive Appointed as USA Football's New Director, Development
INDIANAPOLIS – USA Football has announced Brandon McCladdie as its new Director, Development. McCladdie joins the sport’s governing body from Happy Valley United, where he served as the NIL collective’s Executive Director, overseeing fundraising and corporate development to empower student-athletes at Penn State University through their NIL opportunities.
In his new role, McCladdie will build and lead USA Football’s fundraising efforts to increase the non-profit’s ability to positively impact the sport. This includes building relationships with individuals, foundations and corporations who support USA Football’s mission to lead, strengthen and grow Football For All®.
“We’re excited to welcome Brandon to USA Football as our Director of Development,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. “This is a particularly exciting and important time for football as the game draws more national and global interest. Brandon’s background as a collegiate player and experienced development leader will be crucial to expanding our organization’s network and financial footprint. His work will allow us to continue diversifying and building our innovative development and performance programming to lead, strengthen and grow football.”
McCladdie’s history of building comprehensive fundraising plans and key relationships with donors includes multi-year stints with athletic departments at the University of Virginia, Oregon State University and Davidson College. While at Davidson as the lead fundraiser for athletics, McCladdie helped set a new fundraising high mark in the 2022 fiscal year, raising over $23.1 million in support of scholarships, operations and capital projects.

McCladdie is a native of Augusta, Ga. and holds a bachelor's degree and an MBA from The Citadel. During his time at The Citadel, he served as a two-time team captain and leadership council member on the football team. McCladdie finished his collegiate career as a two-time All-Southern Conference selection, ranking sixth in career passes defended at The Citadel. Following his collegiate career, he participated in the inaugural Medal of Honor Bowl all-star game and was invited to rookie minicamp by the Dallas Cowboys.
