USA FOOTBALL AWARDS $350,000 IN FALL GRANTS TO SUPPORT YOUTH FOOTBALL ORGANIZATIONS
Since 2006, USA Football has awarded more than $21 million in grants to youth and school-based football programs
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – USA Football, the sport’s governing body and steadfast supporter of grassroots football programs nationwide, is awarding $350,000 to more than 635 enrolled youth sports organizations as part of its annual Fall Grant program. USA Football has distributed approximately $1.1 million through its grants programs in 2024.
Additionally, USA Football is awarding more than 4,800 flag belts and 800 footballs this fall as part of its Flag Grants. Flag football is one of the world’s fastest growing sports because of its inclusivity, cost effectiveness and fast paced action. USA Football’s grants support flag football’s exponential growth as the sport prepares for its Summer Olympics debut in Los Angeles in 2028.
Since 2006, USA Football has awarded more than $21 million in grants to youth and school-based football programs, which has directly benefited youth and high school players across 14,000 programs in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
USA Football and its partners, Riddell and BSN SPORTS, fulfill the fall grants to help youth organizations maintain or purchase up to date equipment, improve operational standards and continue offering positive experiences to the communities they serve. USA Football’s grant program is made possible through the NFL Foundation.
“The dedication to supporting grassroots organizations that we share with our partners at Riddell and BSN SPORTS reduces barriers to play for athletes nationwide,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the programs that make football America’s favorite sport and provide young athletes with fun, memorable experiences.”
Earlier this year, more than 1,100 youth sports organizations received grants through USA Football’s Spring Grants program. In 2023, the non-profit awarded approximately $2.8 million in equipment and resources to more than 3,000 enrolled organizations spread across all 50 states and Washington, D.C.
“One of the most rewarding parts of this process is learning about the outstanding youth programs that apply for grants each year and seeing firsthand the real impact they make in their communities,” said USA Football Senior Director of Grants Beth Porreca. “We’re happy to support the tremendous work these organizations and their volunteers do to teach young athletes lessons they use on and off the field.”
