Talent ID Camps Help Identify the Country’s Best Athletes for National Competitions and Opportunities with Team USA Football®, including U.S. National Team Trials
BALTIMORE, MD. – USA Football, in collaboration with the Baltimore Ravens, is hosting a USA Football Talent ID Camp, presented by Under Armour, on Sunday, Oct. 19, at Under Armour Stadium at 2620 Port Covington Dr. USA Football will be hosting more than 10 Talent ID Camps throughout the fall and spring to identify and develop athletes capable of competing and thriving at national and international levels.
As football’s National Governing Body, USA Football selects, trains and leads Team USA Football in international competition, including world championships and the 2028 Olympics. Talent ID Camps are part of USA Football’s National Team Development Program, which serves as the primary pathway for flag football players aged 11-23 to level up their skills and compete for Select Team roster spots and future U.S. National Team Trial invitations.
Under Armour is the Official and Exclusive Uniform, Apparel and Footwear Partner of USA Football, including the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams. Together, Under Armour and USA Football support the sport’s growth so athletes and coaches benefit from a high-performance pathway that leads from the youth level up to elite international competition.
USA Football personnel will be on-site at the Baltimore Talent ID Camp to evaluate top performing athletes for opportunities with the Select Teams and Junior National Teams. Talent ID Camp participants are eligible to receive invitations to join Select Teams or attend future U.S. National Team Trials at the adult, 15U or 17U levels.
Athletes invited to join Select Teams will compete this summer at USA Football’s Select Bowl against other Select Teams chosen from across the country. The Junior National Teams compete annually in USA Football’s Junior International Cup at the 15U and 17U level. Previous Junior International Cup participants include teams from Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama and South Korea.
USA Football Talent ID Camps are one-day events that feature combine testing; 1v1 and 2v3 competitions and drills; and Olympic-style 5v5 scrimmages and situational play. Talent ID Camps are designed to identify and develop the best flag football talent across the country as the sport grows worldwide and prepares for its Olympic debut at the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles. Talent ID Camp participants receive elite coaching and evaluator feedback to refine their skills and develop the tools to one day represent the U.S. in international competitions.
Flag football’s popularity is exploding in the U.S. According to USA Football research, the number of boys and girls ages 6-17 playing flag football increased 37% from 2015-24, reaching a peak of more than 1.74 million this past year. Women and girls are driving the sport’s growth. The number of girls ages 6-17 playing flag football has increased 57.1% since 2015.
The Baltimore Ravens are leading the growth of flag football in Maryland. The Ravens’ 10-team program that started in 2023 now consists of 105 schools competing across eight counties. The Ravens are helping to grow the game within public schools statewide — with the ultimate goal of achieving statewide sanctioning. This fall, the Ravens will host the Maryland High School Girls Flag Football Tournament at M&T Bank Stadium on Nov. 7 and 8.
