LOUISVILLE TO HOST USA FOOTBALL’S 2020 NATIONAL CONFERENCE

INDIANAPOLIS  America’s youth and high school football family is coming to Louisville!

USA Football’s National Conference – the largest combined annual gathering of high school and youth football coaches and administrators in the country – will be held Feb. 21-23 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. Subject matter experts, including NFL and collegiate football coaches, will address Conference participants travelling to Louisville from nearly all 50 states.

February marks USA Football’s seventh annual National Conference and the first to be held in Louisville. A member of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, USA Football has held previous National Conferences in Indianapolis (2014-16) and Orlando (2017-19).

“Louisville is excited to host USA Football’s National Conference and all who teach, lead and guide these young athletes,” Louisville Mayor GREG FISCHER said. “Our city and USA Football share much in common, including the goal of ensuring that all our youth have an opportunity to reach their full potential – in sport, and in life.”

“Our 2020 National Conference is poised to be our most successful and impactful to date when we gather as a football family in Louisville,” USA Football CEO SCOTT HALLENBECK said. “Teachers and leaders of America’s favorite sport across all levels of play will present and participate at our 2020 National Conference, making it a must-see football destination. I join Mayor Fischer in eagerly welcoming America’s football family to Louisville in two short months.”

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body, trains more high school and youth coaches combined than any organization in the United States. Its National Conference is an education and networking opportunity for administrators and coaches to gain insight on best practices, innovation and smarter play to develop young athletes’ and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.

Past USA Football National Conference speakers include Pro Football Hall of Famers Tony Dungy, Bill Polian and Mike Singletary; Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden; Pittsburgh Steelers head coach MIKE TOMLIN; XFL Commissioner and CEO OLIVER LUCK; Green Bay Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy; University of Minnesota head coach P.J. FLECK and others. Experts spanning sport, medicine and character-building and culture address USA Football National Conference attendees each year to propel forward-thinking across the sport.
