AARON RODGERS MAKES SIGNIFICANT GIFT TO USA FOOTBALL TO SUPPORT U.S. WOMEN’S NATIONAL FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM AHEAD OF LA28

NFL Champion joins growing movement behind women's flag football before Olympic debut

Aaron Rodgers, Super Bowl champion and four-time NFL Most Valuable Player, has made a gift to USA Football to support the U.S. Women's National Flag Football Team as the sport builds toward its Olympic debut in the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Rodgers made the commitment as part of his participation in the fifth annual RX3 Charity Flag Football Tournament on March 21 in Mission Viejo, California, hosted by the RX3 Foundation. As co-founder of RX3 Growth Partners, the private equity firm behind the event, he helped bring together NFL players, business leaders and partners to raise support for charitable causes.

At this year's tournament, Rodgers competed alongside U.S. Women's National Team athletes Deliah Autry-Jones, Laneah Bryan, Ashley Edwards, Madison Fulford, Brianna Hernandez-Silva, Maci Joncich, Vanita Krouch and Addison Orsborn.

“Aaron has always been someone who genuinely enjoys giving back and using his platform to support the causes and communities he believes in,” said Nate Raabe, co-founder and managing Partner of RX3. “Spending time with the USA Women’s National Flag Football Team at our tournament only added to his excitement for the future of the sport. As flag football continues its rapid growth toward LA28, he and the RX3 Foundation are proud to support the continued rise of the women’s game and the incredible athletes helping lead the movement.”

Through Rodgers' commitment, USA Football will continue to invest in the development of its U.S. Women's National Team, ensuring athletes have access to the training, competition and resources needed to perform at the highest level.

"A player of Aaron's caliber, with a Super Bowl and four MVP awards to his name, investing in our Women's National Team creates real momentum for the game,” said Scott Hallenbeck, CEO and Executive Director of USA Football. “It sends a message about where flag football is headed, and as we build toward LA28. That kind of support means everything to our athletes.”

The gift arrives as women's flag football is growing rapidly across the United States. Participation at the high school and collegiate levels has exploded in recent years. Flag football is now sanctioned as a varsity sport for girls in more than 20 states and Washington, D.C., the NAIA offers scholarship opportunities and a national championship in women's flag football, and most recently, the NCAA Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact (CAOI) voted to recommend Divisions I, II and III sponsor legislation to add a National Collegiate Flag Football Championship. This decision continues to move flag football toward becoming an NCAA championship sport, with the first championship projected to occur in spring 2028.

USA Football, the National Governing Body for American football in the United States, is responsible for selecting, training and leading Team USA Football® in flag football. The U.S. Women's National Team will compete at the IFAF Flag Football World Championships in Düsseldorf, Germany this August, with flag football's Olympic debut at LA28 on the horizon.
