Talent ID Camps are part of the National Team Development Program and provide a pathway for athletes to be evaluated and scouted for a roster spot on a USA Football Select Team, Stars & States Team, and earn an invite to the U.S. National Team Trials.

Through the National Development Program, athletes from around the country will hone their skills to become part of the next generation of elite flag football players.

COACH AT A TALENT ID CAMP

USA Football is expanding opportunities for coaches to participate in the National Team Development Program through Talent ID Camps and other events.

Talent ID Camps give coaches the best chance to showcase their skills in front of the National Team Development Program staff, be considered for a Select Team coaching role, and become eligible for additional coaching opportunities offered by USA Football.

To be evaluated and considered to coach at a Talent ID Camp, you must have a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Coach ID ($54.50), complete the Advanced Flag Course and SafeSport training, take an NCSI Background Check before participating in a USA Football Event and submitting your application (spots are limited, and final selection is not guaranteed).

OFFICIATE A TALENT ID CAMP

USA Football provides officials with opportunities to officiate at a Talent ID Camp and work with USA Football assignors through the National Team Development Program.

To officiate a Talent ID Camp, officials must have a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Official ID ($44.50), complete the Flag Officials Course and SafeSport training, and pass an NCSI Background Check. Officiating spots are limited, assignment is not guaranteed, and all requirements must be completed to be eligible.

Athletes* can use the USA Football's App to help you prepare for a Talent ID Camp. Download the USA Football App to get ready for the Talent ID Camp! Available for iOS and Android. On the App, you’ll find fast, fun drills that help you prep for Talent ID Camps and sharpen your skills, speed and football instincts. You’ll also find prep resources for the Talent ID Combine testing athletes will undergo at the camp (5-10-5 shuttle and 20-yard dash). BONUS: After the event, your combine scores will be available in the USA Football App!  

You can also gear up before the event by shopping at the USA Football Shop! Find USA Football gear designed for performance and comfort to support your National Team Development Program pathway so you can show up game ready! 

*Athletes ages 13 to 17 can use the USA Football App, but must have a parent or guardian log in using their TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Youth Athlete ID. Athletes under 13 years old are currently ineligible for login access to the App.

Talent ID Camp registration is $69. You must also purchase a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Youth Athlete ID ($35), which is required for registration/participation.

All registrations must be completed by the athlete’s parent or legal guardian. Talent ID Camp registration is separate. 

Yes, you must have a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Youth Athlete ID ($35) to participate in USA Football's Talent ID Camps. The TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Youth Athlete ID (auto-renews each January) includes Digital Resources, National Team eligibility, Participant Accident Insurance, and more!

A Talent ID Camp registration must be completed by the athlete’s parent or legal guardian*, along with the purchase of a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Youth Athlete ID ($35) for athletes under the age of 18.

*A parent or legal guardian (18+) must create and manage the account for any individual under the age of 18. The parent will have a complimentary account and can purchase a Youth Athlete ID for their child through the account’s Relationships section. 

Athletes aged 11-17, essentially Middle & High School, are invited to participate in Talent ID Camps for junior athletes. 

USA Football uses the IFAF Competition Age Eligibility, which is the athlete's age by December 31 of the Competition Year. Example for a 2026 12U Talent ID Camp participant: 12 or younger as of December 31, 2026.

Exception: A 17 year-old athlete who will turn 18 in 2026 may attend a Youth Talent ID Camp before their 18th birthday and must have a TEAM USA FOOTBALL® Athlete ID.

Yes, there are additional dates and locations for Adult Talent ID Camps. You can learn more about Adult Talent ID Camps here.

Spectator access for Talent ID Camps varies by location, and details for parents and family members can be found on each registration page.

For venues without restrictions, parents and family members can watch their athletes on-site from a designated spectator area. For venues that restrict access to athletes and coaches only, parents and family members can watch a live stream of their athletes.

Each Talent ID Camp will be hosted at a different venue. As location details are finalized or updated, information about the venues will be provided to the registrants.*

Athletes who participate in a Talent ID Camp starting in the fall of 2025 - spring 2026 will be eligible for the following competitions:  

Youth

  • USA Football Select Bowl (June 17 - 20, 2026 | Los Angeles, CA)
  • USA Football Stars & States (June 19 - 21, 2026 | Los Angeles, CA)
  • Junior U.S. National Team Trials
    • Athletes who earn a roster spot on a Boy's or Girl's Junior Team will compete at the Junior International Cup

Adults 

  • Adult U.S. National Team Trials 
    • Athletes who earn a roster spot on the Men's or Women's Team will compete in the international competitions for that cycle. 

Select Teams 
USA Football will have four Select Teams for each division: 12U Boys, 12U Girls, 14U Boys, 14U Girls, 16U Boys, 16U Girls, 18U Girls and 23U Women. Each team will train and compete at USA Football's Select Bowl.

Stars & States Team
USA Football will have four Stars & States Teams for each division: 14U Boys, 14U Girls, 16U Boys, and 18U Girls. Athletes who reside in California, Texas, Florida, and within the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) are currently eligible for a Stars & States Team (more regions may be added later).

National Teams
USA Football selects and organizes the Men's and Women's U.S. National Teams and the Boys' and Girls' 15U and 17U Junior U.S. National Teams, Talent ID participants will be eligible to receive an invite for Trials.  

USA Football is building this developmental pipeline to feed future U.S. National Teams competing in international competitions, including the Olympics.

To support the next generation of athletes on the cusp of greatness and give more athletes a chance to #RepTheFlag, USA Football leads the National Team Development Program.

Through the National Team Development Program, top flag football players from around the country are identified, trained, and selected for development and exposure to the next level of competition.

With the help of U.S. National Team personnel and resources, athletes are evaluated each year for the U.S. National Team or a Junior U.S. National Team while improving their skills and raising their game as they train and compete in the National Team Development Program.

No, while coaches or athletes from the National Team may participate in other events, only Talent ID Camps and Digital Combines operated by USA Football qualify as National Team Development Program evaluation events. These evaluation events make participants eligible for a Select Team, Stars & States Team, or an invitation to the U.S. National Team Trials.
