1Abuse Prevention must be completed every two years regardless of Level.
2Health & Safety must be renewed every four years for all levels. If a user completes a course in the previous year, they must pass a quiz to avoid retaking Health & Safety that year.
3A coach may select one of these two options. If they are eligible for Level 2 next year, they must complete another elective course that year.
🅘If you completed a Youth Coach Course in 2025, you’re eligible for Level 2 using your registered USA Football email (using a different email or account requires starting over at Level 1). After passing the assessment, the required additional courses for your Training Badge will be automatically unlocked.
🅘The Coach Training Program is valid for the current calendar year and automatically renews each January using the payment method on file. If you are a Coach & Commissioner renewal in 2026, you will automatically receive access. Coaches who purchase the Youth Coach Course may add the Coach Training Program for $25 through their USA Football Account. Discounts, benefits, and perks are subject to change. All purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable. By purchasing, you agree to the automatic renewal policy.

The most important information you should know about USA Football education and training.
USA Football offers education and training courses for coaches, officials, and organizations across tackle and flag football. These courses are designed to support safer play, skill development, and effective leadership at every level of the game.
Courses are available for new and returning coaches, officials, and organizations looking to elevate their knowledge, improve safety, and align with best practices recommended by the sport’s National Governing Body.
Completion time varies by course and experience level. Most courses are completed online and can be finished at your own pace, whether in one sitting or across multiple sessions.
Level 1 and Year 1 courses are designed for individuals who did not complete training in the prior year and focus on foundational topics. Level 2 and Year 2 courses are available to those who completed training the previous year and build on that foundation. Our system automatically determines which Level or Year is right for you based on eligibility. If you completed USA Football education and training last year, be sure to use the same account or email address to avoid starting over at Level 1 or Year 1.
After completing all required course components, individuals receive a digital Training Badge and a record of completion in their USA Football account, which can be shared with organizations or administrators as proof of education and training.
If you need assistance getting started or with your education and training course, our team is here to help you.
