USA FOOTBALL AND GMTM PARTNER TO LAUNCH USA FOOTBALL DIGITAL COMBINE TO AID U.S. FLAG NATIONAL TEAM SELECTION PROCESS

First-of-its-kind online event aims to identify athletes looking to compete for U.S. National Team consideration 

INDIANAPOLIS – With an eye toward identifying the best talent for future national teams, USA Football is partnering with GMTM, a social network designed to connect athletes, organizations and brands.  The partnership will introduce the USA Football Digital Combine, a unique online event open to all adult athletes interested in competing for a U.S. Flag National Team spot or looking for more opportunities in the sport.   

Regardless of experience, all athletes are invited to create profiles, upload videos and interact with USA Football on GMTM. Throughout the Digital Combine, USA Football coaches and scouts will review submitted film and information in order to make selections for future U.S. National Teams.

GMTM is a large step in the right direction for our current coaches and players, as well as in the future for our U.S. National Teams.”  

GMTM works with a variety of organizations spanning the ranks of collegiate and professional sports, as well as brands such as Sports Illustrated. Through its network tools, GMTM helps give athletes access to opportunities regardless of barriers such as income, geography or background.   

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body and a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, organizes the U.S. National Team for international flag and tackle football competition operated under the rules of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).   

USA Football’s U.S. National Teams represent the United States in international competitions such as The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Ala. and the 2022 IFAF Women’s Tackle World Championships in Vantaa, Finland, which concluded over the summer with two U.S. National Teams winning gold medals and one claiming silver.   

USA Football’s current roster of teams includes the U.S. Women's Tackle National Team, the Junior Flag National Teams and the Adult Flag National Teams. Each of these teams is selected by USA Football coaches and scouts, many of which will be active during GMTM's Digital Combine event.
