USA FOOTBALL AND OAKLEY AGREE TO MULTI-YEAR PARTNERSHIP RUNNING THROUGH LA28 OLYMPICS

Oakley becomes Official Eyewear Partner of USA Football’s U.S. National Teams Through the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. & LAKE FOREST, CALIF. – USA Football, the sport’s governing body responsible for creating and leading the U.S. National Teams and a member of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC), and Oakley, one of the most iconic product design and sport performance brands in the world, proudly announce a multi-year partnership marking a historic milestone as Oakley becomes the Official Eyewear Partner of USA Football and its U.S. National Teams.

Reflecting Oakley’s nearly 50-year legacy of innovation and its passion for driving the sport of football forward, the brand’s partnership with USA Football builds on its roster of sports partnerships, including the NFL and its elite athletes like Justin Jefferson and Patrick Mahomes. Oakley also is a proud partner of the USOPC and equips Team USA with its top-of-the line sport performance eyewear across all international competitions, including the Olympic Games.

With this new partnership, Oakley will provide its innovative sport performance eyewear to USA Football’s flag and tackle U.S. Men’s, Women’s and Junior National Teams. The brand’s revolutionary Prizm™ Lens Technology is specially engineered to enhance details and optimize contrast, allowing athletes to perform at their highest levels without compromising on safety or style.

Flag football will make a historic debut at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and Oakley is proud to equip the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams with premier eyewear, celebrating their journeys on and off the field.

“USA Football is continuously looking for partners who align with our values and desire to build and refine football’s high-performance pathway,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. “Oakley’s history of innovation and trusted on-field performance from youth to elite athletics will elevate our U.S. National Teams in tackle and flag football as more international competitions, like the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, feature our sport. We look forward to working with Oakley to bring our athletes world-class eyewear and shields that prioritize safety and performance.”

As part of the partnership, Oakley and USA Football will tell the unique and compelling stories of athletes nationwide, focusing on their football journeys as the sport becomes more accessible. This includes high school girls flag football, which is now a sanctioned varsity sport in 12 states and feeds into college scholarship and playing opportunities at the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) levels.

“At Oakley, our dedication to innovation and support for youth football is steadfast. By partnering with USA Football, we aim to empower the next generation of football stars, from local leagues to the national stage," said Corey Hill, Oakley Global Head of Sports Marketing. "This collaboration is a pivotal step in our mission to propel the sport forward, culminating in the historic Olympic debut of flag football in 2028.”

Oakley’s range of men’s, women’s and youth sport performance eyewear were present in early July at USA Football’s Week at The One, which included the Junior International Cup, Select Bowl and The One Flag Championship. Oakley will build on its legacy of research, design and innovation by hosting several events at its state-of-the-art headquarters in California to work with and learn from athletes about their needs to reach peak performance and will continue to have a presence at USA Football national and international tentpole events to support the sport.

“As all versions of football become more popular internationally and flag football experiences the exponential growth brought on by its Olympic inclusion, we’re molding an inclusive and sustainable football ecosystem,” Hallenbeck said. “Together with Oakley, we will raise the bar for industry standards and best practices in eyewear while supporting elite athletes representing the U.S. in emerging competitions.”

The U.S. Men’s and Women’s Flag National Teams will travel to Lahti, Finland this August to compete in the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Flag Football World Championships. Both squads are reigning world champions dating back to their victories over Mexico at the 2021 World Championships in Jerusalem, Israel.

The upcoming IFAF Flag Football World Championships from Aug. 27-30, which will be the largest in the event’s history, will mark Oakley’s sideline debut with the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Teams.
