USA FOOTBALL ADDS FORMER NFL TEAM EXECUTIVE RON RACCUIA AS SENIOR ADVISOR
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. – USA Football, the governing body of American football in the United States and the organization responsible for selecting, training and leading the U.S. National Teams that represent the U.S. in international competition, including when flag football makes its debut in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, has named Ron Raccuia as Senior Advisor.
Raccuia, a well-known NFL executive with more than 30 years of experience in sports management, brings expertise in business operations, strategic growth, and organizational leadership to USA Football, furthering the organization’s mission to lead, strengthen and grow the game of football for athletes at all levels.
Raccuia served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the NFL’s Buffalo Bills (2022-23). With the Bills, he helped negotiate a historic $1.54 billion stadium deal that ensures the Bills remain a key part of Western New York’s sports culture for years to come. Most recently, Raccuia joined Altius Sports Partners, the leading strategic advisor to elite collegiate athletic programs and top-tier brands, as a senior advisor.
For five years (2017-22), Raccuia served as Executive Vice President of Pegula Sports & Entertainment (PSE), the holding company responsible for the Bills, Buffalo Sabres (NFL), and Buffalo Bandits (NLL). Raccuia led operations for all the PSE teams, serving as the primary liaison between athletes, business staff and ownership and overseeing brand management, strategy, revenue growth and sponsorship for PSE’s multi-billion-dollar sports and entertainment portfolio.
“Ron’s leadership in the sports industry and his innovative approach to growth make him an ideal addition to our team,” said USA Football CEO Scott Hallenbeck. “His experience working with some of the biggest names in sports, along with his dedication to the development of athletes while growing sponsorships and brand awareness, will be a tremendous asset as we continue towards our certification as the national governing body of football in the U.S. We’re thrilled to have Ron on board as we build towards flag football’s debut as an Olympic sport in 2028 in Los Angeles.”
In 1998, Raccuia founded ADPRO Sports, one of the largest sports merchandise companies in the country, eventually expanding the company to more than $41 million in revenue by 2022. Under his leadership, the company expanded profits sixfold from 2018 to 2023. Raccuia was instrumental in securing licensing agreements with top sports leagues, including the NFL, NHL, NBA and NCAA, solidifying ADPRO's position in the team sports merchandise industry.
“I’m honored to be working with USA Football,” said Raccuia. “There’s no better time to join the organization as they get ready to lead football on to the world’s stage in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles. I’m excited to contribute my experience to help drive the sport forward.”
