NOT JUST ANOTHER COACHES CLINIC
The Coaches Lab is an in-person workshop focused on practical, scenario-based preparation for competitive flag football practice and competition.
The Coaches Lab is not just another coaches clinic. This workshop will include mini-lessons with opportunities for practical application and reflection while helping coaches deepen their understanding of 5v5 Flag Football.
Coaches will analyze teams, develop scouting skills, build competition-ready practice plans, and respond confidently to real game and rule situations under pressure.
Coaches will leave with practical tools and solutions they can apply immediately at their next practice, next tournament, and throughout the season.
Branden Francis, USA Football's Senior Manager of Sport Development and Competition, will share key concepts and insights on competition scouting, defensive preparation, and building intentional practice segments to improve defensive performance.
Branden brings a deep background in player development and NFL-level evaluation, with experience as a Player Development Consultant at PFC Sports Group, a Pro Scout and Scouting Assistant with the Cleveland Browns, and a former wide receiver at Liberty University.
Maren McCrary is USA Football’s Manager of Athlete Scouting and Development and will serve as the MC, delivering an engaging and interactive experience for coaches.
Maren brings extensive experience in athlete development, talent identification, and coach education, with a background that includes roles as an Assistant Coach with Lexington Sporting Club, Technical Director for the Development Player League, leadership positions with sport National Governing Bodies, state youth sports associations, collegiate programs, and experience as a former professional athlete.
