LEAGUE INSURANCE CAN BE COMPLICATED

2022 REQUIREMENTS & RECOMMENDATIONS

THINGS TO CONSIDER & WATCH OUT FOR

SEXUAL ABUSE & MOLESTATION

We’re concerned that many insurance packages are missing this coverage completely, or just offering it for employees.

For the majority of youth organizations, coaches and league leaders are volunteers. That means employee-only coverages are costing leagues money but not providing support when misconduct or allegations towards the organization occur that cause mental anguish, emotional distress or bodily injury.

A benefit of using USA Football’s Preferred Insurance Program partners means you’ll have coverage for both volunteers and employees.

ACCIDENT COVERAGE FOR
FLAG & TACKLE

Accident coverage needs to apply to every athlete, regardless of Game Type. Whether athletes play Non-Contact, Limited Contact or Contact, each athlete in the organization needs to be covered at the appropriate levels.

USA Football worked with key partners in the insurance industry to understand what minimums should be considered to help protect an organization and support the athlete, both for an individual incident and aggregate. Organizations can decide for themselves whether the coverages are adequate and whether to add more coverage.
