The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) officially certified USA Football as American football's National Governing Body (NGB).
As the NGB, USA Football is the only organization that selects, trains and leads the Adult and Junior National Teams representing the U.S., including the 2028 Olympics.
USA FOOTBALL THE ONE FLAG CHAMPIONSHIP™ is an Olympic-style 5v5 flag football competition that serves as a U.S. National Team qualifying event. All participating athletes are eligible for invitations to the U.S. National Team Trials.
Athletes from across the country can take their game to the next level through the National Team Development Program (NTDP), where they train, compete, and get evaluated as part of the pathway to the U.S. Flag National Team.
USA FOOTBALL THE ONE FLAG CHAMPIONSHIP™ offers athletes a chance to compete in front of U.S. National Team Scouts, but the best way for athletes to earn their invite to the U.S. National Team Trials is to attend events that are part of the NTDP.
Whether or not your squad gets invited to a USA FOOTBALL THE ONE FLAG CHAMPIONSHIP™, competitive flag football club teams have more opportunities to showcase their programs on a bigger stage at a USA Football Sanctioned Tournament.
Participating in a USA Football Sanctioned Tournament also provides athletes greater exposure against stronger competition and additional opportunities to join the NTDP.
