We challenge organizations and their coaches to meet standards to enhance the experience for the athlete, and many are stepping up! Here are a key areas to look for to use when using the League Finder that go beyond a zip code search.

Coach Certification

Every year, about 100,000 coaches step up to the standard and earn their USA Football certification.

League Excellence

Thousands of youth organizations across the country enroll with USA Football and pursue the League Excellence Program.

These organizations are pledging to put your athlete first and are taking actions to align with the Football Development Model (FDM).

Selecting a league that is enrolled or earned a bronze, silver or gold seal is a quick way to see that they’re putting your child’s development first.*

*Seals are determined in Fall 2021 and may change each year.

Flag introduces football skills players will use in all versions of the game as well as other sports.

Limited Contact

This is a great way to introduce contact skills in a progression without going to the ground.

This is the game we know and love, with 11 or less players and can be played on a full or condensed field.

The organizations near you may not be currently enrolled with USA Football or they may not have earned the recognition standards for the League Excellence Program. Some factors for that include coach background checks and certification status. However, more organizations are raising the bar every day. Check back often or tell your league leaders to reach out to their USA Football Regional Manager or enroll to get added to League Finder.
