USA Football and FieldTurf announced today that applications are being accepted for $400,000 in Field Building Grants.
For the second consecutive year, USA Football will award a total of $400,000 through its Field Building Grant program. Municipalities, school systems and tax-exempt youth leagues are eligible for grants to be used toward the purchase of a FieldTurf product.
Applications are available at http://www.usafootball.com/fieldgrantsand will be accepted now through March 20. Grants will be awarded in April based on merit and need.
USA Football awards up to eight Field Building Grants annually, each in the form of a $50,000 credit toward the purchase of a FieldTurf product. The sport’s national governing body in the United States, Indianapolis-based USA Football also is the only organization in the NFL’s 92-year history to be the official youth football development partner of the league and each of its 32 teams.
USA Football members – youth football coaches, players, league commissioners and game officials – reside in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Approximately 3 million American children age 6-14 play organized youth tackle football, placing it among the country’s most popular youth sports.
FieldTurf has installed thousands of football fields at the high school and municipal level throughout the United States in addition to more than 100 football fields for NCAA Division I schools along with game and/or practice fields for 21 of the NFL’s 32 teams.
