St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. in Fort Lauderdale has most NFL players

Eight graduates of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St.  Thomas Aquinas High School were part of 2011 NFL Kickoff Weekend rosters, most of any high school in the United States, USA Football announced today.  The totals are based on the 1,695 players on Kickoff Weekend rosters.

USA Football is the sport’s national governing body and is the official youth football development partner of the NFL.

NFL players hail from 1,382high schools in 47 states and the District of Columbia, four countries and one U.S. territory (American Samoa).

AMERICAN SAMOA:  The United States territory of American Samoa has five NFL players, including two with the Cincinnati Bengals – DE Jonathan Fanene and DT Domata Peko. The others are Chicago DT Matt Toeaina, Miami DT Paul Soliai and San Francisco DT Isaac Sopoaga.
