Schedule announced for 2012 IFAF Under-19 World Championship in Austin, Texas
Steve Alic, USA Football Sat, 04/28/2012 - 1:56pmRepresentatives from eight Under-19 football national teams spanning four continents are meeting Saturday, April 28, in Austin, Texas, to visit practice facilities, game sites and housing accommodations as well as discuss plans for the International Federation of American Football Under-19 World Championship this summer.
The tournament is June 30 to July 7 at Burger Stadium in Austin and is one of six exciting events that together comprise the first World Football Festival, which involves more than 2,000 players and coaches. The United States won the first IFAF Under-19 World Championship in 2009 in Canton, Ohio, going 3-0 to earn the gold medal.
Representing their national team programs in Austin are:
