USA Football, the sport’s national governing body for youth and amateur levels, announced today its 2013 USA Football Tailgate Tour presented by Tyson® Fresh Chicken and supported by Stubb’s® Legendary Bar-B-Q. The tour will kick off Friday, September 13, ultimately making stops at 14 high school football games this fall to celebrate the selection of 45 high school student-athletes to the Under-19 U.S. National Football Team that will compete against Team Canada in the 2014 International Bowl.
Five high school-aged U.S. National Teams will take on national teams from Canada on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Maverick Stadium at the University of Texas at Arlington. The games are a collaboration of the sport’s national governing bodies in each country – USA Football and Football Canada – featuring top student-athletes in football’s greatest annual international competition.

The games came at the end of a weeklong deveopment camp at UMass-Dartmouth, where athletes competed for spots on the U.S. National Team rosters when Team USA plays in the International Bowl in February. The camps also included off-field development sessions as well as practice, jamborees and 7-on-7 competitions.
