Ask A Player offers football fans the chance to ask a member of an NFL team about life in the NFL and football fundmentals. USA Football solicits questions from fans on Facebook and Twitter and selects 10 to ask the featured player. Each question is answered by the player in his own voice via audio clip. Links to the answers are then posted to Twitter via @usafootball and Facebook.

In this first episode of Ask a Player, USA Football invited Panthers safety and USA Football FUNdamentals alum Sherrod Martin to participate. Martin, who played collegiately at Troy, was selected in the second round (59th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Panthers. The 28-year-old, whose hometown is Griffin, Ga., has 182 tackles, seven interceptions and three forced fumbles in his career.
