BRAX Spirit Cups go pink in 2012

Women love their teams just as much as men.


They also have a fondness for the color pink.


BRAX SpiritCups has put those two ingredients together, introducing a new product line of NFL Cups designed with a dark pink base and the same 3D animations of the standard BRAX cups.


Created with moms, grandmothers, cheerleaders and female athletes in mind, BRAX President Todd Elgart said the cups are drawing interest from new customers as well as leagues that have sold BRAX Spirit Cups for years.


“From the meetings and conventions we have attended, the response has been very positive,” Elgart said.


A sleeve of four 18-ounce durable plastic SpiritCups sells for $15, with the league keeping at least $5 per pack. Along with the NFL and NFL Pink lines, BRAX also offers all 32 MLB teams and more than 90 colleges.


Specialty cups of recent pro and college champions include the New York Giants, University of Alabama football and University of Kentucky basketball as well as one for the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Popcorn buckets also are available for NFL teams and 29 colleges.


Leagues are provided with sample cups and don’t have to pre-order. Shipments come directly to the fundraising coordinator after all the styles and quantities are determined.


“Some customers were looking for something new and different,” Elgart said. “We’ve definitely found something because there has been an uptick in interest.”


The cups also benefit a good cause.


“With this product line, BRAX Fundraising chose to endorse and create awareness for the NFL’s A Crucial Catch campaign. It is one more way our BRAX team gives back to the community” Elgart said.
