Four high school-aged U.S. National Teams will compete against national teams from Canada when the International Bowl series returns to Arlington, Texas, in January and February 2016. U.S. Select Teams at the junior high and high school levels also will compete as part of the series.

Games will take place at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, and are a collaboration of the sport’s national governing bodies in each country – USA Football and Football Canada – featuring top student-athletes in football’s greatest annual international competition.

The event will feature a week of practices and activities for each team, culminating with official international competitions. The schedule includes:

At the Under-19 age level, the upcoming International Bowl marks the sixth contest between Team USA and Team Canada. The United States defeated Canada, 35-0, at Arlington’s Maverick Stadium to win the 2015 International Bowl. The United States leads the series, 4-1.

U.S. Under-19 National Team alumni include WR Corey Coleman (Baylor), RB Todd Gurley (Georgia/St. Louis Rams), QB Kevin Hogan (Stanford), OL Joey Hunt (TCU), DB Tyrann Mathieu (LSU/Arizona Cardinals), OL Jack Mewhort (Ohio State/Indianapolis Colts), QB Bryce Petty (Baylor/New York Jets), RB Samaje Perine (Oklahoma) and DL Stephon Tuitt (Notre Dame/Pittsburgh Steelers).

“This is an exciting opportunity for these young men, to represent their country on the football field and learn from top coaches while working alongside the best athletes in their grade levels,” USA Football CEO and Executive Director Scott Hallenbeck said. “To play on the same field as the Dallas Cowboys will make this a memorable experience for our coaches, athletes and their families.”

The NCAA recognizes USA Football’s International Bowl as a national team competition. Playing for the United States in the International Bowl is exempt from high school seniors’ two all-star game appearances. USA Football and Football Canada are among the 71 national federations who are members of IFAF. IFAF’s member nations span six continental regions: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America.
