USA Football is hosting National Development Games in four locations this month, including this week in Towson, Md. More than 200 top 10th- and 11th-graders from across the nation are practicing in preparation for Saturday’s games at Unitas Stadium.
Players were drafted onto four teams, which practice and play together throughout the event. Coaches include current college coaches, former NFL players and top high school coaches, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insight into the game.

USA Red
Through 13 seasons at Christopher Columbus, Chris Merritt’s teams have gone unbeaten four times. Merritt helped the U.S. win the gold medal at the 2009 IFAF Under-19 World Championships, serving as the defensive backs coach. A former standout safety at Indiana University, Merritt also was the 2010 U.S. Under-19 head coach, the 2011 defensive coordinator and the 2012 offensive coordinator

Logan Williams has been the defensive backs coach at Shepherd University since 2012. He is no stranger to representing his country. Before coaching at Shepherd, Williams served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years.

USA Blue
Nick Marmo was a highly recruited offensive lineman coming out of high school, eventually signing with Penn State and playing from 2000-04. During the past nine years, he has served as the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator at New Castle (Pa.) High School, his alma mater. This fall, Marmo will coach tight ends and running backs at Westminster College in Pennsylvania.

Clinton Alexander has been the head coach for Woodberry Forest High School for the past eight years. This past season, Woodberry was ranked No. 3 in Virginia with an 8-1 record and a Prep League championship.
