Tips for when you are short on workout equipment

Not everyone has a state-of-the-art weight room, complete with all the new machines to make athletes bigger, stronger and faster.

Stack.com offered some suggestions for players and coaches who have minimal – or no – access to equipment and some improvisation is in order.

Sled substitutes

All you need is a flat surface, towel, PVC pipe, plate and a friend. 

Leg curl substitute

You need nothing more than a towel and your own body weight.

Manual resistance ideas

Two people working together can get a pretty solid workout.
