High schools from the state of Texas produced 32 players selected in the 2016 NFL Draft, more than any other state.

U.S. National team alum Corey Coleman, a graduate of Pearce High School (Richardson, Texas), was the first native of the Lone Star State off the board when the Bengals selected him with the No. 15 overall pick.

Other notable Texas natives to be drafted include Fort Worth Arlington Heights product A'Shawn Robinson and Waco graduate Andrew Billings, who were drafted in the second and fourth round, respectively.

Two Texas high schools produced a pair of draft picks. Mansfield Legacy saw receiver Josh Doctson get drafted by the Redskins in the first round and offensive lineman Rees Odhiambo taken in the third round by the Seahawks.

Houston Wheatley also had two alumni drafted in Williams Jackson III (No. 24/Cincinnati) and Xavien Howard (No. 38/Miami.)
