Two legal hidden ball tricks that result in touchdowns

Deception is part of football.

Fake handoffs. Reverses. Throwbacks. They all have a place in every offensive playbook.

A high school in Mississippi last week pulled off a fun one that had the defense all going the wrong way. The play is legal because it is a forward exchange with an elligible receiver.

Check it out.

In California, a high school team huddled after receiving the kickoff, disguising who had the ball. The players then broke six different ways, some getting tackled but the real ball-carrier reaching the end zone.

The key to this play is the ball must be handed off backward or to the side. Any forward handoff is an illegal forward pass and nullifies the return.
